My wife and I woke up Sunday morning early put our ski boots on walked a few steps to the mountain and skied down for first tracks, home an hour later before the kids even woke up. Bretton Woods is frequently named one of the top ski resorts in New England and is home to 35 miles of trail with something for all skill levels. You can walk directly to the ski lifts (about 4 a minute walk) or take the complimentary shuttle right to the lodge. There are also several other highly rated ski mountains within a short drive of the house.
